I could say his work was what actually inspired me to do / mod / update / modernize my KOMODO X skin, so it's fair for him to be the first to be featured here. Not that he needs any extra reason for that, his work is so amazing that he would be the first anyway XD. So here we go:
On his early works, Mike Winkelmann -AKA Beeple- shows closed worlds incredibly beautiful and unseen. Used as KOMODO background, you'll find that it often matches feelings and sensations triggered by music. He's apparently a big lover of industrial and techno music so is no strange that most of his work has that feeling.
Also, he's very open minded about the use of his work, so you'll find out that almost everything is available to use freely on other projects. Check out his site and social nets to find a lot more:
